Make Do Cookies

One of our family traditions is to make chocolate chip cookies when it rains. Well, the other day it started to rain , so I decided to make  C.C.C. Well, come to find out that we didn't have any chocolate chips. :( But, we did have Brach's Chocolate Covered Peanut Clusters. So, I used these to substitute the chocolate chips. That's not all. I started mixing up the ingredients; butter, sugar, etc.
Just to clarify, we have 6 people in our family and most recipes have to be doubled at least. So, naturally I started making a double batch of cookies. That's a lot of cookies!! And you know, I didn't realize what I was doing until I put the flour in. Oops!
Anyway after figuring that out, my mom and I laughed and added coconut to them on a whim. The cookies turned out pretty good. The peanuts gave it more of a peanut butter cookie taste and the coconut gave it a nice chew. There were so many I rolled them into balls and froze them in qt. size bags. It was fun and I learned from my mistake.

Here's the recipe. Enjoy!
P.S.
DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE!
A double batch may not even fit in your mixer.

In another bowl, combine:

Prayer

We as a nation need to be praying for those in need. Those affected by tragedies. Those in leadership. Those who are fighting for our freedom and those who protect our cities and put their lives on the line for our safety.
The body of Christ has forgotten it's greatest tools against the enemy; continuous prayer and faith as a child. To believe that with God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!

Gad is Calling You!!

1 Timothy 4:12

New King James Version (NKJV)
12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

Over the last 100 years, teenagers have been given a bad name. We're basically expected to play and have fun until we graduate and then magically turn into adults. That sounds pretty absurd to me. But kids all over have accepted this as the 'standard'. It's expected of us to act up, to get in a little trouble, rebel against our parents, whatever. Who cares....right?

I dont' think that is what God wants from us.

God has instructed us to be young adults.  To set an example for the younger and older generations alike. He has called us to a teen revelution. To rebel against the standard and to make a difference in our world. He has called us to be leaders and ministers of the Word.

He has called us, how will we answer? Will we say, "Someone else will do it," or  "God doesn't really want me. I'm not good enough for Him."

Or, will we take responsibility for our actions and fix what we have broken.

Teenagers have a lot more influence than we think we do. We set an example for younger kids. We cause our elders to have a good or bad opinion about us " young whipper-snappers ".

We have the opportunity to impact the world. It could simply be helping that lady with her groceries, helping in the nursery at church during service, or saying, "Hey, can I help you with that?" Anything where we step up to the plate and act like the young men and women God has called us to be. It doesn't matter how limited your resources are or how seldom you get the chance to help someone. Your family always can use a bit of help around the house.

Remember, once God can trust you with the little things, He will trust you with the big things.

You have the ability. Do everything you do to the glory of God.

HOW CAN YOU ENTERTAIN SOMETHING THAT BREAKS MY HEART??
