I am kicking off an art page!
Amy is usually the artist around here, but I try my hand every once in a while!
Teen for the Lord,

I saw the four points in this candle and immediately saw the message. Here is the improved version.

A New Look At This Beautiful Life

By now you have probably noticed the new look to my blog.
I have to say that I really like it.
My little sister, Amy, asked if she could redesign my blog.
So, while Mom and I went to figure what I have to finish up for high school (ahhhh!), she redesigned to her heart's content! Well done, Sissy!
While we were out, I told my mom that even though I only have about a month and a half left, graduation is not coming as a shocking change.
I like big dramatic events to be, well, big and dramatic... like me. :)
So when things simply dwindle off and eventually end, it's not as exciting. Not as significant.
Yet every change in our life is significant. How do we handle them without going crazy?
Simply go with it.
The truth is, you cannot control everything in your life now, and you never will. You will never get to the day that you have everything under control.
So just breath! Look around, and ask God to open your eyes to the beautiful life He has blessed you with.
And if you can't see the beauty of your life, believe in the beauty of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. Ask Him into your heart, and He will show you the beauty of your life.
You are never forsaken or abandoned.
You are never forgotten.
You are forever treasured and loved for who you are.
No matter the ugly that you have seen or done, God still has a beautiful plan for you.
God bless and be with you!

Spring is Here! Pretty Thrifty

 Ahhh... spring.
Fresh flowers, gusty breezes, new life, and rainy days curled up with a book and hot tea...
Spring is a time for new starts and fresh beginnings and, sometimes, the closing of a season.
I'm a senior this year and I'm about to graduate.
A relief, yes, but also a challenge.

What is next?
What do I do with my life?
What does God have for me?
Are my dreams His will or mine alone?
What do I do?

If you've graduated, you have probably gone through this. But you may have asked yourself the same questions at various other parts of your life. I don't think any of them are totally answered. They can be answered, for a time, but they never really go away. They keep nagging at us, prodding us to ponder the future, distracting us from the present and the day God has given us.

What I'm learning, is that God loves us. He has good plans for us; and if we will acknowledge Him in all that we do, He will direct us. He will show us what's next, what to do, where to go, what to say. And with our good Father leading us down the road that He knows so well, we don't need to worry about the next step. We can enjoy the moment we are in with our Father, our family, our lives, without the distraction of worry on our minds.
He will supply all of our needs according to His riches and glory.
Even if that is simply direction or wisdom.
He gives liberally to all who seek wisdom.
He desires good things for us.
He alone is good and can lead us in the paths of righteousness
