Love Letter from God: Part 1

 "You are My rose," He said.
 The girl looked up from her reading. She knew her Lord's voice. He was speaking to her. She quietly closed her Bible and opened her journal. "I'm ready, Father."

The King smiled down on His beautiful creation and spoke. "You are a rose, not spotted or blemished. You stay in My garden growing, learning, and  maturing.very day I come to water you. Some days I carefully prune you.  As I do, you complain and cry."

She grimaced, but kept writing.

"But I, being The Gardener, know it is for the best, and the next day you thank me," He smiled at this familiar act of His creations.

"Child, your beauty is without compare, your petals keep you safe from prying eyes, and your thorns ward off any unwanted passers by from breaking your stem of purity."

 She smiled at the truth in His words.

 "Some days, you prick even Me. But I let you. NO price is to high for me to pay to be with you.  I never prune what will not be pruned. I will whisper in your ear, and speak gently to you, reproving and nurturing you. I will never give up on you even when you reject Me. When you have shriveled up and died, as My heart shatters, I will throw you to the refuse heap and there you will go back to the dust you came from."

  " You are my portion. My love. I long to be pursued by you. To talk with you. I long to show you the World. To walk you through the dark places and bring you out of them with you leaning on My arm. I love you.
                                                             YOU ARE MINE!"

God's Love letter: Part 2

  I wasn't sure whether or not to keep this and the previous post together. They are related but I decided to separate them. So you might want to read my previous post before you read this.


God has a heart of Romance. He longs to be pursued. He makes Himself vulnerable to us just for the privilege to talk to us, which isn't even a privilege. He is creator, and we should have to come at His every beckoned call. But, no; He gave us a choice. In everything. He has pretty much put Himself at a disadvantage to reach us. He longs for us! 
I wish I could express this to each and everyone of you in person. Too bad there aren't double italics for me to use. ~smile~
  He longs to be in our every thought. To be the only thing we think of! He longs to be desired. He wants to be loved. He longs for us to have a relationship with Him! 
 And He is a sucker for True Beauty. Just as we long to find our Beauty, He longs to show it to us. He longs to comfort us when we can't see it.

  Our God is a passionate, personal, romantic, tender, nurturing, sensitive ( His feelings get hurt; He cries when we hurt Him), relational, and loving God. If this is starting to make Him sound feminine, there is a reason. See, Adam was one part of God's image. Eve another. All of our traits as men and women are found in God.* So if you think no one understands you, just try talking to God. He's got you covered. Always!!

   You are His treasure. His portion. His inheritance. You are precious! You are a diamond. Remember, even diamonds get dirty. ~smile~  He wants to gather you to Himself and wash you, and polish you until you glisten and gleam. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!! YOU ARE WORTHY!! YOUR LIFE IS WORTH SAVING AND LIVING!  YOU HAVE A PURPOSE AND ARE NOT WORTHLESS!!  AGAIN, YOU ARE WORTHY! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! YOU ARE PERFECT! GOD DID NOT MAKE A MISTAKE WHEN HE CREATED YOU! YOU HAVE A PURPOSE! A REASON TO LIVE!
 GOD WANTS YOU TO LOVE HIM AND SERVE HIM ABOVE ALL ELSE. HE IS WILLING TO GIVE UP HIS RICHES AND GLORY JUST TO SAVE YOU, EVEN YOU, JUST YOU, FROM THE TORTURE OF HELL! 

 YOU ARE LOVED.

 God sent His son to die for you. His son! THAT is how much you are loved.
You are loved!

 He loves you. Love Him back.

The Face (Poetry)

Your voice is all I want.Your love is all I need.
You wrap me in youe arms and I settle in your peace.

I seek you in the morning, I seek you in the night.
I seek you in the whirlwind, and in the fire.

I give up. I surrendor. I give you all I have.
I try to draw near, Please! take hold of my hand.

Guide me to your fountain.Guide me to your grace.
Lead me by still waters. Lord, I need to see your face.

The face that made the light, The face that walked on seas.
The face that made the universe, the face that calls me.

The face that conquered my giants, the face tht blotted my sin.
The face that held my shame, The face that stands to the end.

The Body of Christ Revisited

Hi Everybody! So I was looking at the comments some of you have sent me and I came across one that I thought needed response.

Recently, I wrote about how we are the Body of Christ. I spoke about how we (born again believer's) are the Body and how we have the same power as He does through this. I appealed to this verse:
   "I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father."
 I said that we can do the things that Christ did, and more.
   
  This person disagreed with me. They said that they didn't think that we (born again believer's) can do these things, and certainly not things greater than Christ. And, I agree that we cannot do it. We are not able. But He is. And He lives in us. So, if we are willing to be His ambassadors (bringing His messages, whether physical or verbal), He is able to work through us. And we can call on Him to work through us. But we should never, under any circumstance, try to perform miracles without Him.

  If you remember, there were some guys who tried that in the Bible. The seven sons of Sceva, the High priest. They went to cast out a demon from this guy, and they couldn't do it. The demon spoke to them. It said, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?" How would you like that to happen to you? To add to the humiliation, the demon caused the man it possessed to beat and strip  them, sending them naked from the house. That's what happens when you try to act apart from the Holy Spirit.

  So, to clarify, we are the body. The Holy Spirit lives in us. On our own we can do nothing. But we are empowered by Christ to do His will, and we do it in for His glory. Not our own.

  That's one thing new I want to slip in here. When we are truly humble, we are not weak and cowardly, but bold, doing all that we do for His glory. Meeting every challenge as David did Goliath:

“You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head."

  David was not confident in his strength but in God's. "This day the Lord will deliver you..."
When we are truly humble, we are confident in God's power and faithfulness to His children to keep His promises, and we are bold in that knowledge.  When He works through us, we give Him the Glory.

  So to the person who posted that comment. You are able to do the same things as Christ because Christ lives in you. Why would He stop performing miracles just because Heaven is now His headquarters? He is still in the business of miracles. He just usually performs them through us.

  You did not offend me, and I hope that I didn't offend anyone. I pray that I never will. The purpose of this blog is to share my journey and to inspire you on yours. I want to make you think and challenge you but not offend you. You are God's children, He loves you all very much, and He wants you to be able to operate in His full power, to understand that you can call on Him to supernaturally move on your behalf.

Modesty: More than a fashion statement

  So often in our society modesty is made something that our parents force on us (and they do it just to irritate us. They don't really care, and besides, what do they know about fashion, etc. Can you relate?)  The truth is they want to protect us and sometimes they don't want their little girl to grow up. To get that first pair of heels, put on makeup for the first time, to have that first date, to go off and have their happily ever after. It is because of LOVE that they want us to be modest. It is because of LOVE that they shield us from "fitting in", and if you think about it, fitting in doesn't always mean looking pretty in the first place.

   The world has a twisted view of beauty. It's our job to untwist it. It's our job to show the world that beauty does not need to be flaunted or paraded like a toy. It should be cherished and nurtured. Does that mean that you have to join a convent and never go outside again? No. God tells us to be a light to the world. We are to be in the world but not of the world.
    YOU CAN DRESS MODESTLY AND FASHIONABLY AT THE SAME TIME.
    Talk to your girl friends, do some research. As a famous someone from some movie once said, "It's easy; just hard."
    Don't be discouraged. Do it for the guys around you. You will be rewarded.

Body of Who?

   In the second chapter of the book Relentless by John Bevere, he talks about who Christ is.
Now for most people we say, "Christ was God's son, and He died to save me from my sins."
But that's not the answer he was looking for. He didn't want to know who the person was, but
who the body was. 

  We are the body of Christ. Paul confirms it in 1 Corinthians 6:15. " Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself?" We, the born again believers are of the Body of Christ. We who are but flesh and blood, carnal and carnally minded, share in the body of Christ. We are one with Messiah. We are included in the word Christ. That, in itself, is amazing!

  This is what John Bevere says next:
"...let's see what this revelation means to the level of authority we have in Him. ... Paul prayed passionately that every follower of Christ might comprehend "what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power" (Ephesians 1:19, AMP)
    ...Would you agree that the Lord of glory has immeasurable, unlimited power?... I'm sure you'd support this assertion without hesitation."
   
Would you believe this of yourself?

  In John 14:12 Jesus says,

  "I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father." (NLT)

  Do you get the picture? If you are believer, a part of the Body of Christ, you are entitled to this same authority. If we believe in Him, we can perform the same works Christ did.
  
  Just think about that.
  Jesus healed lepers.
  Jesus made the blind see.
  Jesus turned the water into wine.
  Jesus walked on water.
  Jesus fed OVER 5,000 people with 5 loaves and 2 fish AND had leftovers!
  Jesus raised  people from the dead!

  And...
  "We can do all things through Christ who gives us strength."  (Philippians 4:13)

  Do you believe you have the same authority over the enemy as Christ does? Do you believe that the Holy Spirit can perform miracles through you? Do you believe you are good enough for God to be worthy of such honor? You are.

  He wants you to be empowered. But, we have not because we ask not.


 Don't live a hum-drum Christian life.

  Be  Relentless

Relentless

 Have you ever wanted to give up?

 You probably have. Who hasn't?
 Does wanting to quit make you a failure? No.

 No one said that following Christ was going to be easy. No one said it was going to be fun. All they promised is that it would be worth it it in the end.

 Don't ever give up. God has big plans for your life, and he wants to fulfill them. Seek Him daily. This is a new season in your life. Don't be compliant in your faith this year. Be adamant, vigorous, uncompromising, unstoppable, determined; be relentless.

 For the next couple of months, I'm going to be doing a study by John Bevere called  Relentless. It talks about being relentless in your faith, and ruling in life as the Bible talks about in Romans 5:17:
 
  "For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ."  (NKJV)

 That is what I want, and as I ask I shall receive. Is that stuck up? No. That's faith.
